Cool Re: My 12 Gallon over the past month

well if your planning on having shrimp i would recommend a school of tetra somthing small like ember tetra you could have 6-8(maybe more cause they are really small) in there, if you plan on getting rid of you current cory cats there are some species of dwarf cory you could put in there where you could have a small but decently size school somthing in the 6-8 range with the embers. those smaller fish would look good together and you could still house shrimp without the worry of them getting munched on(now any babies would be a different matter i think lol)

and yes i do have a preference towards smaller species of fish cause id rather have a bunch of small fish than a couple big fish lol.

and i didnt know the inlet for the filter was in the back corner there but depending on how strong the current is i bet you could get away with planting somthing about an inch away from it and not have to worry about it getting sucked up to it. you could possibly look into getting a piece of driftwood maybe and put it somewhere in the tank that looks good and maybe tie some anubias(i dont know where anubias originates but it looks like your sticking with an SA biotope which i really like) to the drift wood for a little somthing extra

and before you ask there is no commonly found shrimp species from SA that i have been able to find any information on at all trust me i looked and looked and looked....
