Hi fishnvw

It is looking good I am looking forward to seeing you tank mature. Have you thought about what type of fish you will put in?

Yeah I'm going to put a dwarf puffer in it. I wanted to do some shrimp but I here a lot of stories of people loosing shrimp to d/p's. Thanks for the compliment. I'm ecxited to see what becomes of it too.

Does anyone know how to dose small levels of flourish and excel? I need like .5 ml of the excel daily and .4 of the flourish twice a week. Do they even make stuff that measures such small amounts?

Use a baby medicine dosing syringe.

I think you've done a great job! It looks really nice. I'll be interested to see how your grass makes out. I thought it needed a little more light than you have. On the other hand I've read that it even grows in the shade....

Davemonkey thank you I have been scouring two forums and all over the internet for something that I already have (3 kids).

Tex gal thanks for the compliment. Its my first planted tank so I was a little freeked out. I am pleased with the way it turned out. And as for the hairgrass I hope it does well, the only reason I used it is because I saw it in a deep tank under cfl lighting and floating plants. The tank was pretty dark so I was hoping it would be ok. I guess we will see though.

So a week old and not much going on. My banana plants are growing fast. And I guess everything else is still alive so that's good. I'm doing a short photo period as was suggested by someone only 6 hrs. Should I do an hour longer or contiue to do 6? Thanks for looking.

I think it is looking good as well. It is amazing what you can do with a tank that only holds 3 gallons.
