Very cool. From the thread it sounds like you've successfully kept the betta together with at least otos and danios. Ever had any aggression problems? Any advice for having them get along together?

Thanks!

Most of the bettas I've had don't show aggression as long as they don't see another betta, or anything that looks too close. Usually you have to worry more about other fish nipping at the betta's fins. This one is the biggest fish in the 55, and he never bothers anybody. I've even seen him wrestle over food with a baby shrimp he could have probably swallowed and both parties walked (swam?) away.

Out of all of them I've kept, only one had a nasty attitude. He killed all the other fish he was with except one otto. Even with that one, he had an apple snail and a group of ghost shrimp that he lived with for years. Go figure.

Thank you for answering -- I have been planning a betta tank, but was very nervous about combining species. I'll give it a try!
