Default Hello fellow Texans!

Hi Guys and Gals,

Hello from the wilds of Hoboken, NJ -- its Bobby. This has been a long long long move. It took forever to find an affordable apartment -- don't ask what that is -- and has taken even longer to furnish and unpack. The abode is still tankless but that should change soon. I am trying to judge if I want 6 or 8 tanks -- so few. Do I do killies or swordtails or wild sailfins or weird anabantoids plus they've all got to be planted. How do I raise daphnia and red worms in an apartment! I've only been to one fishy event, a local NJAS show. There were some nice swordtails. I was drafted into judging. If the Senske bros see this I finally got a chance to sit and read your new book -- excellent. You'd make a killing in NY if you could stand it. Its not what it was 25 years ago by a long shot. Its like the business burbs with mass transit. One might as well not bother. The culture is gone and only partying and making bucks remain. Kind of sad which is why I opted for Jersey right across the river. I'm teaching non-stop and will be directing something soon. Mike or Jeff are you still handing the ADA products? I saw the shop area was down on your site. What's new Luis?

Bobby

How nice to hear from you man! For those who didn't meet him before, Bobby is one passionate livebearers and killy fish expert he worked many years for the old village tropical and it's thanks to him, that in more than one occasion we could get a hold of some rare fish.
I am glad you settle down and I would like to wish you the best in your new town! I can only imagine a conversation between you and Mr. Coletii! well, if there is anything we can do for you or if you ever need plants let us know!
Also there is a good friend of NASH in NJ his name is Jay Luto and he recently started a planted aquarium club!
Good luck and keep us posted about you Bobby!

Hi Mike and luis,

Well, I finally picked up a couple of 30's. Believe it or not it took awhile to find a store with them here. I met Jay in Houston and at the NJ show here, Luis. He's a nice guy. I noticed he started a plant club here. I hope it goes well. Unless I breakdown and buy a car -- not having to have one was a reason to move here! -- the meetings are a bit out of the way for me. The NY clubs are easier to get too. Ted and I buried the hatchet. We even judged livebearers together! Mike can you send me a ADA products pricelist? I'm looking mainly for substate and fertilizer but I'd like to look over everything. I'm putting in 5 thirties and maybe 15 tens. That should be managable. I have to get the velifera and kykesis back and the red pictas. Luis can I get a plant package from you -- narrow leave java fern and java moss especially. I have to remember who I sent all my floating water fern too, I sent out so much stuff before I left. Where's the best place to order plants on line? The selection here is terrible. Who has good sized anubias? It's good to be back. I just got Bleher's discus book -- very interesting. We've been having a great discussion about the new discus taxonomy on the AHHS site.

Happy Holidays,
Bobby
