Talking WTB - Pressurized CO2 system in Houston

Hi,

I am using a DIY CO2 setup right now, but Im looking to upgrade to a pressurized system. Anybody know anyone selling a full system, or parts of a complete system? Id also be interested in finding a good place to buy/refill CO2 cylinders. Will the welding shops here refill any CO2 cylinder, or do you have to get it from them?

Any info is appreciated.

(I would have put this in the buy/sell forum, but I want to do local pickup only, not shipping. CO2 cylinders are heavy.)

Lance

Houston has tons of welding supply factories, usually in the vicinity surrounding and outside 610. You can either bring your own tanks or rent theirs and just swap every time you run out.
You can look into the yellow page or do a Google search in the Houston area to find the locations. Maybe others can chime in with specific stores they prefer to fill the CO2 in.

For fresh new tanks, you can go to Fish Gallery or City Pets. Both stores have complete systems including regulators and solenoids and the such.

Check out Houstonfishbox.com or Marshreef.com, I know there's one on marsh for sale now and they occasionally pop up on HFB.

On HFB I started a thread to get people to chime in on where they fill/swap tanks at so there's a few places on there.

Fish gallery and citypets fills tanks as well but they don't use scales, city pets is out and fish gallery last filled my tank and it ended up being less filled then when I brought it in.

Personally I use and love the regulator rexgrigg.com offers and there's a place online that sells tanks for really cheap....think it was beerbevaragefactory.com or something to that nature.

be carful of buying tanks online
if all of the correct stamps are not on the bottle then none of the refill places here (or anywhere) will touch it.
