Default BOOYA!!! Lampeyes babies!

As the title says, I just found some lampeyes frys swimming around!!!

Was feeding the fish when I noticed from the top view, there were some 'things' swimming around but didn't resemble mosquito larvae. Upon closer look, BOOOOOYA!!!

BTW, not sure if this is valid but one of the new books I got abotu tropicals said Male celestial dan has colorful anal fins while Femal does not. And they showed with two side-to-side pix comparing the two. Other than that, the two look identical. Great news for those who want to maintain a sense of uniformity in looks in their scapes while at the same time get an idea on the sex ratio of the fish. If only cardinals are like that....

Sorry to not clarify, guys, this happened in my 90-P indoor. However, the pond is still as magical as it can get when it comes to making the fish breed

By now I have probably over 50+ sparklings so maybe during the next meeting at ADG I can bring some to give away.

Here are some pix to show the frys:

Two of the frys swimming in the midst of duckweeds(how did they get in there in the first place, I wonder)

Another shot

One of the shrimps in the 60-P

And last, I throw in this pix of my black sword from the pond(will post pictures of it soon). Submersed leaves stay black-red, while emersed leaves will start out black and gradually work their way into becoming redder and eventually green.

***I guess I will keep the duckweeds in the tank for a while longer. At least until the frys are big enough to swim with their parents.

Awesome man!

Keep me in mind when you start to ditch those Sparklings! With the Celestials IMO they make poor fish for a nice scape....at least they won't help it any....they hide all the time and are really skittish. I was able to get a few more females and when I rescape my tank I will be pulling them all out and put them into a dedicated tank to breed them so there should be some local bred/raised Celestials soon.
