Default HAS Summer Auction

Yes it is the HAS auction again, and I am calling on any and all members to donate some plants, fish or even equipment to auction off. The aution is on July 20, info is listed here http://www.houstonaquariumsociety.or...AGE-Summer.htm.

A lesson that we learned from the last auction, stick to the simple plants. Java Fern, mosses, Anubius go for good prices and will bring in the most revenue to the club. Rare plants that are not know to most fish people may just sit on the table unbought. So if you want to sell some rare stuff, if may be best to do it on this forum (APC) so that you target the people that appriciate those plants.

NASH will be bagging these up sometime at the end of this week, stay tuned for updates on location and time. If you can not bring items and want to donate please PM me and I will make arrangements.

Kevin:
If you want to pick them up have a 5" rhizome of Java fern to donate, plus a few stems of Mirophyllum mattogrossens and one of these http://www.drsfostersmith.com/produc...8&pcatid=16748

Aloha my friends. My wife and I were in Dans warehouse today and probably spoke to a couple of you about NASH (I was the guy talking about the sadness of all of the "political" aspects of many of the Houston clubs). Thank you all for the informative conversation. It was our first trip to Dan's place and we certianly will be back (although probably not as frequently as we would like.... its quite a drive from the woodlands... )

It was a pleasure meeting you all and, even though a planted tank is but a far-off hope for us at this point, I hope to learn as much as possible from you all.

Cheers,

Josh

Driving from the Woodlands is quite a trip.

There are a few of us that are almost that far so if you ever want to carpool to the meetings or get togethers just give a holler.

Josh, It was a pleasure meeting both of you. we have quite a few members up in your neck of the woods. Definitely check us out if you ever get a chance. A planted tanks is not that far-off after one of our meeting.

Cheers,
Thanh

Thanks to all members who donated and showed up to help bagging the plants. Again lots of plants! Especially Bunbuku for the dry items and Bushan for taking all the goodies and spending time at the auction representing NASH. Another big thanks to Houston Aquarium Warehouse for providing bags and a place to meet.

Cheers!
