I need Swords - Nature Aquarium Society of Houston (NASH)

Guys, I am in need of a lot of sword plants (Echinodorus)
And by a lot I mean for a tank over 200 gallons.

NASH has just been invited to do a special event that I will anounce soon, but to get prepared for this I need to make the request for these now. If you have any pelase let me know.

I will also need some nerite snails, Harrishawk where are you?

Hmmm. Sounds like you've got something up your sleaves.

The only swords I have now are the little chain-swords (E. quadricostatus) , and most of those I just gave to Luis. I DO have some of that Nymphoides 'Taiwan' that grows somewhat large like a sword.

I have the Nymphoides as well, in fact I think it can not be killed.

OK so it is big 72 L X 34 W X 36 T! We have a small problem a big 70 gallon wet/dry filter and only one 2260, we are dealing with carnivorous fish so the diet is high protein but yet the shoal is not that big.
What we need:
Hard escape materials driftwood, rocks, substrate tons of Echinodorus spp. chain swords and regular swords, cultivars and a load of Neritina snails since these are the only animals that can live with our “special fish” we need many hands and all our high tech guys and plumbers to help with the project; not always we can play with the Illegal fish legally so join the fun! There will be lots of work and no reward other than see our club name at the display.
Help needed! So who says me? We can go see the place Saturday so we need the names by Thursday so we don’t have to pay to get in.
Our president will give you more details of the place I just have to post the info before I forget.

Ok, Luis has let most of it out.

NASH is honored to be invited to aquascape a Piranha exhibit at the Houston Museum of Natural Science (Woodlands Xploritory station) located at the Woodlands Mall [yeah I did not know it was there either]. As Luis mentioned it is a big tank, and we need a lot of supplies (we are currently trying to source some). I would also like someone to act a a photographer for this to document what goes on. I do not know when the actual layout is going to happen, but we will scope things out this Saturday. If you are going let me know by Thursday or you will have to pay to get in.

Talk about stepping up to the big time.

Sound like great fun! Unfortunately, I can't make this Saturday. Will be out of town for a family event. Also possible hunt for nerite snail and see if they are in the area. Have fun guys and keep me posted.

OK, my only pet peeve is this. Are we invited to help them scape OR are we invited and expected to bring own supplies? In my experience, usually when people request for you to help them, they would supply with all the equipments...........Just want to get this confusion clarified if either Luis or Kevin can~

Now I'm all for helping but for a tank THAT size to be able to supply plants.........my eye brows are raised quite high~
