Great place to Ditch-Dive Our Church had a picnic today at Alexander Duessen Park in NorthEast Houston (North of Beltway 8 and C.E. King) . I took my 4-yr-old for a walk there and found a couple drain-channels/ditches running throughout and we picked TONS of plants (Hydrocotyl sp. , Ludwigia palustris?, Bacopa monnieri, Polygonum hydropiperoides, and a couple I was unsure of.
At the entrance of the park there is a very long and wide channel full of Lotus (in bloom right now) and other plants, but I did not get a chance to get out and look closely there.
Anyway, if anyone has a hankering to go ditch diving, I highly recommend this park area.
