HC question - Nature Aquarium Society of Houston (NASH)

Ok guys, I gotta question about my HC that I bought. I have dosed according to manufacturers instructions, but I am not sure I have high enough lighting or I am not doing something right.

Lighting: 1x96watt CF coralife and 2x21 watt T5, both have the 10k bulbs.

Plant appearance: green but growing slowly

Am I just impatient or could there be something wrong. By the way mystery snails flattening out the hc, should I get rid of them?

HC grow very slowly at first. Just have to be patient at it. What is your tank size?

As for the snail, I try to kill them as much as I can. You can use pea puffer(my choice if you can find them) and botia striata to control them. Those are the two I have use with great success.

tank size is 50 gal. will get rid of the snails.
