Hi,
I've just started setting up my first serious planted tank. I even bit the bullet and paid the extortionate price for eco-complete.

Tank is 20 gal corner.
Lighting is 2 WPG normal output approx.
I'm not planning on adding co2 yet, I'll see how it goes without first.

Reason I'm posting is that my tap water ph is 7.8 and from what I've read most of the plants seem to require softer water. Has anyone else had any success with high ph water like mine?

Thanks,

James
