Default Background Plants in a 55g

I want to add some different background plants to my 55g tank, when I do a re-scape soon to add more fish. I wanted to get personal experiences with some of the plants I'm thinking of using.

Right now I have a really nice rubin sword, some hygro (I think ceylon), some red temple that is looking a little ragged due to a fish who decided it made a good snack, some brazilan pennywort, some myro that I want to get rid of, and some bacopa that I also want to phase out.

Anyway, I really want to do something to the far corner. I want a couple of background plants that wont fill up ALL of the corner, but will provide a nice contrast of texture to the stem plants I have in the front and color for the brown of the crypts.

These are the plants I'm thinking of--I'd apreciate any experience on how fast they grow, how much space they take up realistically, and how well they do having other plants around them.
BLYXA AUBERTII
APONOGETON CRISPUS
Crinum calamistratum
ECHINODORUS MARTII or some other sword

My tank specs are:
55g
194w
DIY CO2
EI ferts, plus MG and Calcium
Substrate is eco-complete and sand

I'm not familiar with the others, but my aponogenton crispus certainly didn't get big enough for a background plant. I was about 10inches tall, had 30 or so leaves. Very nice plant. Apparently it goes through a 'dormant' phase after growing strong for several months. It's now in it's 'just coming back from dormant' phase, so it looks pretty sad. Here's what I looked like in it's growing stage.
I think it would be better off as a center-piece plant.

If you can find it, the B. aubertii may be a nice addition to the back corner of a tank. If you want something with a bit of red to it, some Barclaya longifolia may be something you would like.
