For the lower light areas at the ends of the tank you can put the plants that are happier with a bit less light, like ferns, anubias and the hardy Hygrophilas (I agree with oregon aqua that they can grow darn near anywhere).

I have a 65w Satellite fixture on my 29 and use the legs to raise it up a few inches to help distribute the light more evenly and it does help a good deal. I don't know if you can do that with the AH supply kit though.

No I can't raise it because I am going to retrofit it into an AGA light fixture. Thanks for the reasurance. I am planning on doing pretty easy plants to begin so hopefully all will go well.
