I have recently set up a 75 gallon planted aquarium and i am injecting Co2. when the lights go out
i have a air stone come on the co2 shuts off . the ph is 6.0 KH 1dkh (that gives me co2 30ppm i believe). in the morning ph is 6.8 is this kind of flux good. and could i use CC to raise KH and PH
so its not so low.

I'd say those are pretty good readings, IMO. Do you use a drop checker btw? sometimes it's always good to have one in handy just in case co2 goes out of hand, in the meantime; good luck.

Hi mrsols1,

When Tom Barr did a talk for us in September, he stated he targeted about a 5.0 dGH and didn't worry too much about dKH as long as it is above 2.0.

I use Seachem Equilibrium to raise my DGH because they have a dosing calculator. I used to use equal parts of CaCl (Dri-Z-Air) and MgSO4 (Epsom Salt) but Equilibrium is easier.

To raise dKH I use NaHCO3 (Baking Soda); here is the calculator I use for dosing.
