Default Clarity of CO2 Drop Checker

Two days ago, I received my new CO2 Drop Checker. I quickly put 4 dkh into the bulb about half full and then added the b. blue that came with the kit and the instructions read to add 7 drops of b. blue...of course they did not call it b. blue. I placed the CO2 Drop Checker into the tank on the opposite side of my CO2 diffuser. Initially the color was a deep transparent blue just as the instructions suggested. After 10 hours the color was transparent....no color at all. This has happened twice to me because I started fresh after the first transparency. However after the first time when I took the CO2 Drop Checker out of the tank I could see a vague green tint. Has anyone else had this type of problem and if so, what did they do about it?

Thanks
