Default Sump Time - Can I Succeed?

Hello all,

Ive been snooping around on this website for some time now and am finally getting registered and asking my own questions!

I know this question has been asked before and Ive read the threads but the answers seem mixed. Ive recently converted my reef tank to a planted freshwater. I have a pressure CO2 and Im concerned about degassing and my level of success I will reach with it. Can I be just as successful as if I had a canister? Can I get my co2 levels where they need to be?

I have a 120g tank
just starting fertz
planted a number of beginner plants

Id like to hear of stories from people who have tried and succeeded or failed with sumps or anyone who has an opinion on it. I will get a canister if the sump will be a waste of time and money.

Thannks for you help guys!
