Default Ammannia sp Bonsai

Here is my photo of Ammania sp Bonsai. This one has been around for a year or so but I almost never see it. It is a beautiful plant and has a wonderful use in the for and midgrounds of aquariums. Likes higher light adn seems lo like CO2 although I have not tried it in lower tech situations. Branches nicely and makes excellent accents. Produces sideshoots near the base so toping above a new shoot is the bast way to prune and propogate. Grows at a moderate rate, slightly faster once it gets established.

I belive this plant actually has a different scientific name, a Rotala sp if I am not mistaken. Please correct me if you know the correct identification.

The color is a little brighter green and the red is more pronounced that in my photo.

There is some suspicion that this plant is the real Rotala indica. I have a link somewhere with photos of it with flowers that I'll try to dig up.

I had a little of that for a while, but it grew painfully slow for me. I guess it never quite got adjusted to my water params, ie hard water.

I get the Tokeshuma Prefectural Museum, and the only picture on the page is a fossil bat. Where is the picture of Ammannia Sp. bonsai or Rotala indica?

Click on the link, about half way down.

Paul, you seem to have some weird stuff happen with your computer. Your always getting logged of and bounced to wrong addresses.
