This is not a true aquatic moss. I've tried it and it melts.

Star moss is an incorrect name. It's real name is cement moss and yes it is not an aquatic moss. I hate it when people just give/sale a plant with any name they want. it just makes it harder to find out what you really have.

It seen that this moss need cool water of 24degree and good suppy of CO2 to survive well, I believe that they have high demand for such condition, else it will die. I have seen LFS growing them well for near to 1/2year.

Yea, kinda weird. I've had some in my tank for about....7 months now. It's still doing well and super green. I knew it wasn't classified as aquatic, so I threw it into my emersed setup for a while and then just converted it to completely submerged. Still doing fine.

I have them in my tank and they are doing well. They need time and the right condition to grow submerse. It will probably take about 3-4 weeks to convert emerse star moss to submerse under the right conditions.
