30g cube - new project

I wanted to post some pictures of the 30g vivarium I created. It doesn't really qualify as a palaudarium, but there is a tiny pool at the end of the stream and java moss growing along the stream edge. The tank is an Oceanic 30 cube. The stand is an IKEA table with the casters cut off, which works really well for $50. The canopy was made by me and contains 1 x 40w power compact light, and there is a spot for a fan but right now it doesn't seem to need it, there is room for a tiny 50w heater in the false bottom.

Here are two pictures of the room, it is actually part of a learning "interpretive center" about the neotropics.

Thanks!

Yea, I posted it on dendroboard too. The yellow stuff is called "great stuff" home insulating foam which you can find at home depot. Basically you spray the great stuff all over than carve the excess off with a serrated steak knife or any knife and then you take black silicone and rub it all over the great stuff background and take handfuls of coco dirt bedding and stick it to the silicone. There are some really great walk-throughs on dendroboard. The frogs in there are fake for the time being and it is located at the Santa Ana Zoo which is open to the public in Santa Ana, CA.

The plants species for right now:

- 6 varieties of Neoregelia sp. bromeliads - throughout
- Peperomia perciliata - top left back wall
- Cissus amazonica - vine bottom right back wall
- Doryopteris cordata - low fern middle foreground
- Rhipsalis sp. - twiggy succulent top back wall right
- Adiantum raddianum - fern far left foreground
- Anthurium scandens - epiphyte on top branch
- Drosera graminifolia - front foreground middle
- Cryptanthus sp. - front foreground
- java moss

I will eventually remove some of the plants because I got WAY too many, for the most part I also tried to get plants from central and south america.
