Default fire bellied toads

So, i'm in the process of building a 65 gallon paludarium and i'm starting to think of what i might want for land dwellers (so i know how big to make my land area), and i really would like some toads or frogs, and not african dwarf frogs....real ones, haha, and i was thinking about fire bellied toads.
However i am keeping my harlequins and tetras from my 20 gal setup now.
question being, has anyone kept firebellied toads with smaller fish? do they think of them as snacks?

Always wanted one of these. There are these Cuban tree frogs here that people say are invasive. Do people house these as pets? I see them all the time.

yeah, i've seen people keep the little cubans, and i like those too, but i think they feed on mainly fruit flies (at lest thats what ive read), and i really dont want to deal with trying to encase fruit flies in a tank. crickets are much easier to keep.

Hmm, so how about oriental fire bellied toads? i know i could keep them, i was wondering about the er, consumption rate at which they seem to eat smaller fish.
i know ive read some people say that will most def. snack on them, and some people that have actually kept them have said differently, so i was just wanting a general consensus from people that have actually kept them (not just read the articles) and if they seem to snack alot in the water.
i have espi's and tetras fwiw..

I think your main problem may be the toads toxins in the water as far as perminant inahibatants.

yeah that would be a near second question. i know they loose some of their toxicity in captivity and i will have about 25-30 gallons of circulating water for probably only 2 frogs. Just wondering if it will work, i really have my heart set on frogs...it's just finding one that is compatable that seems to be the issue

I have a friend with a 20gal palludarium with the fire bellied toads, newts, white cloud minnows and some corys. Fed the toads live crickets, they seemed to leave the fish alone. The minnow fry that appeared, on the other hand....

I have a 29 gallon paludarium with two fire belly toads and many endlers. They have been co-existing for about three months now. I have never seen a decrease in the endlers. Lots of babies swimming around in the tank. My experience is just as long as crickets are available for the toads, they really don't seem to care about the endlers swimming around the tank. It seems to work out well. I have to say, I really enjoy watching the fire belly toads.
