Default Sunday Meetings

Hi Everyone,
I will not be able to make it to meetings on Sunday evenings. I would still like to be involved in the club. Please try to keep me informed. Perhaps someone could post a short review after each meeting. I will be stopping in AOA occaisionally and can talk to Tim. I will also try and keep in contact thru this forum and GPASI meetings.
Thanks Earl

How does the rest feel about possibly moving the meetings to Saturdays???
I'd just like to get a feel for this, because I myself have thought about how Sunday eve. meetings affect my Monday morning(not good!). I know Tim works Saturdays, but if we could meet early enough in the day, 10-ish, we could get in the meeting before AOA opens, then shop 'til we drop at noon, and still have the whole day ahead of us. This would work VERY well for old folks like me who have kids and a hard time staying up past 8:00. It won't cut into college games, or NFL games...

Before anyone jumps the gun and vetos this, it could be just for the winter, since the weather gets bad and darkness overwhelms the great outdoors. I personally don't want to be traveling on blizzardly Sunday eves. TREACHEROUS! Nightmarish images of being stuck in a snow drift, broke down, or in an accident comes to mind. The roads are much better during the day.

I really don't know what to say. I suppose that we could change meetings to Saturday mornings or whatever, but that would inevitably be inconvenient for other people (including me). We could go on all day about which time might be best, but the purpose of our discussions that nailed it down to Sunday evenings was so that even though it might be 'painful' for one or two people at first, as many of us could make it as possible.

I admit to being frustrated by this issue. I read this thread a while ago but didn't respond because I didn't want to sound selfish or uncaring. But there you have it.

Well there is no way to have a date/time that won't be inconvenient for someone, especially as membership grows. The issue that Barb brought up that also concerns me is that the roads are not as diligently plowed/salted on Sunday evening as they are at other, higher traffic, times. OTOH, we can just accept a lower turnout when the roads are bad. I am somewhat flexible about when we meet. Maybe, just moving the meeting up to 4:30 would help a bit.

Since we are on a completely different weekend from the other aquarium meetings, would a Friday night meeting be more convenient for now?

I agree, any time we choose will be inconvenient to someone down the line. As for the road issues, I think unless we have a meeting some time during the week, road cleaning is going to suck any time we choose (although probably more so on a Sunday). I have to drive in the stuff no matter what the conditions are so it's not as much a consideration for me.
Right now we are small enough to consider "experimenting" with what may or may not work. If at all possible I'll make time for whatever day we choose.

Fridays nights are not good for me. Saturday or Sunday afternoon or evening works best for me.
