Default Noob Questions

PPS looks very interesting and I'm going to try it on my 20G and nano tanks. However, I was reading the Newbie Guide to PPS-Pro and FAQ.PPS.pdf and they seem to state two different things. Newbie guide states you have two mixes Macro and Micro and Dose 1 ml of each solution per ten gallons of tank size. FAQ indicates four solutions with varying amounts of dosing (SS,PF,MG,TE). Maybe it just me being stupid but It seems different. Is this just the difference between the classic and pro? The Newbie post does seem to easier.

Also, how long does the mix keep, and does it need to be refrigerator?

Thanks.

Default Re: Noob Questions

Welcome to the world of PPS.

Yes there are various solution depending on the approach. The three main approaches are descibed here:

PPS-Pro is the easiest. Especially for newbies like me.

The mixes keep for a long time and do not need to be refrigerated. I would not mix more than 1 batch at a time, but other than that you will be fine. The dry chemical last a long time.

Anymore question, just let us know.
