Default If away for a day or more, should one increase the dose before leaving?

I plan to set up a DIY auto doser for PPS Pro Macro, Flourish Micro and Flourish Excel. Until then, with PPS Pro, if I'm going to miss a day because of travel, should I double the dose on the day before?

Likewise, if I'll miss several days, should I increase the dose by that many days? For example, if I will miss 5 days, should I add daily dose of each solution x 5 on the day before I leave?

Just switched to PPS Pro from EI and having excellent results so far.

PPS-Pro and Vacations?

Don’t worry about leaving for 2 – 3 days, plants will do just fine without any care. Though if you are planning to leave for 2 – 3 weeks, then some changes would help. Mainly, we need to slow down plant’s metabolism to conserve its energy. A combination of light and CO2 is the main growth accelerator here. So, low light aquariums will do just fine. Medium light aquariums should have 2 hours less light then usual, but no less then 6. High light aquariums should have photoperiod of only 6 hours a day. CO2 levels for all light conditions no more then 10 - 15 ppm. Also test for NO3 before leaving and add KNO3 if less then 15 - 20 ppm. After vacation, continue dosing as usual, plants will return to normal in short time.

Thank you
Edward
