Default How much Plantex in Trace Solution?

Hi,

The PPS-pro calculator tells me to put 160 grams of Trace elements into one liter of #2 (trace) solution. Other places say to put 80 grams of Plantex into one liter of trace solution. Why twice the difference? I was in the process of making another solution up and discovered this difference. Before I used 160 grams and I have a thread algae problem. I'm thinking this is the cause -- too much FE. Can someone tell me what the right amount of plantex to use?

Default Re: How much Plantex in Trace Solution?

Oh wow...I just figured it out. I needed 700ml of solution so I entered 700 in the "ml" space and didn't delete the one in front of "liter" I have been double dosing all of my nutrients for the last 2 months! That would explain my thread algae problem!!! I think by default, it would be best if the calculator only allowed you to enter in the amount of bottle size for ONE bottle only. Especially so stupid people like me don't screw this up.
