Default Macro Solution/ MgSO4

I'm probably asking a really newbie question here.
Does the macro solution "41 grams MgSO4 (Magnesium Sulfate)" really mean MgSO4∙7H2O? Or if I use off the shelf Epsom Salt do I need to use a different weight?

You use Epsom Salt which is Magnesium Sulfate Heptahydrate MgSO4∙7H2O for the MgSO4 listed for making PPS-Pro.

Hint (from what I understand): Use 2x the amount of KH2PO4 that's listed in the formula. Some people have reported that this helps to keep GSA to a minimum.

Thanks! I figured it was, but then again, assume nothing...

I have found that I need to add much more PO4. My tank is always at zero.
I was starting to question the test kit, so I made up the solution to check and it's fine.
When I add enough to bring the ppm up to 5 in the tank, it's gone in 24 hours. Should I add more?

You really don't want any of your ferts/nutrients to bottom out. As long as there is just a bit extra at all times, it's fine.

Since you are bottoming out your PO4 level; it would be a good idea to add more. You can add the extra PO4 to your aquarium by either dry dosing the extra amount needed or you can add the extra to your PPS-Pro solution.
