Do you want a recurring post? or 1 post when we have the doses fairly constant? I'm guessing it's also very important to include equipment/plants/bioload etc.
Thanks Art!

*Updated Spreadsheet

Things seem to be going better. NO3 is a bit low, so I'll increase dose.

Plan for this week:
Sun: 4ml SS - 30ml PF - 8ml TE - 65ml DS
Mon-Sat: 2ml SS - 15ml PF 4ml TE

Just when things were going better, I added 2 more bags of EcoComplete and it messed up my water again. (I even rinsed each bag about 20x... I'm tired of this @#$!) I also did the Ca test like 3x, and I did not notice any sudden change like I normally do so the level is just my best guess.

Plan for this week:
Sun: 40ml PF - 8ml TE - 65ml DS
Mon-Sat: 20ml PF 4ml TE

Hi
The Eco is not inert and therefore will continue changing your water parameters. The only defense is to repeatedly changing the contaminated water until your Tank Ca / Mg = Tap Ca / Mg.

You need to be dosing as follows.

65ml DS after 50% WC

Mo: 30ml PF
Tu: 30ml PF
We: 30ml PF
Th: 30ml PF
Fr: 30ml PF
Sa: 30ml PF
Su: 30ml PF

Let’s try this for a week and then we go from there.

Thank you
Edward

*Updated spreadsheet.

Tank is a mess so I'm not posting pics. Thread algae is taking over (probable plant infestation from trade).

Plan for this week:
65ml DS(After WC) - 30ml PF - 5ml TE

Hopefully I will get my CaNo3 in the mail this week, and I'll begin using that.

*Updated spreadsheet.

Notice: I have been adding Ca to my already hard water and my Gh and Ca levels have not risen. You may also notice that in the past I have not added any Ca and the levels have remained pretty much constant. Edward is a brilliant guy and he figured out why. I'll let him explain why though. Once again.. Nice work Edward.

Tank is improving.

Plan for this week:
65ml DS(After WC) - 25ml PF - 5ml TE

Hi Sawallace
Thank you for the nice words.
Any updates, how is it going? The Mg at 25 ppm is brutal; you need to lower it soon. The lowest you can have it is at the tap level which is still somewhat high but healthier then the 25.

Thank you
Edward

Hi Edward, things are getting better I believe. I haven't had time to test much lately, all I know is my PO4 is through the roof still and my NO3 is about right. Plants seem to be getting a little greener, hopefully in the next few weeks they will look like they do in the pictures I've seen.

Mg, well, I don't know what I can do about that, it's either my substrate or my water. I really need to retest my tap just to make sure, but with all the problems I've had with the substrate, I wouldn't doubt that that is the culprit. Are there any visual indicators of Mg excess?

Thank you!
