Default Why so low an interest in sale and trade from European members of APC?

I have been following the threads of this forum closely being a moderator of it as well, and I was wondering why is there such a low interest among European members of APC on trading stuff, we are on continent like USA and we are supposed to be one big family, but this part of the forums is moving at a snails pace, why any ideas?

Well i think because this is a USA based forum. and shipping overseas is far and not that easy...
european members trading stuff on Europe based forums is so much easier then trading overseas

Well let me clarify something this sub forum is intended for exchange of stuff among European members and not overseas exchange. APC membership is really international and there are lots and lots of Europeans in it, so Europeans feel free to use it among you.

"For Sale or Trade in Canada" section is dead for some reason too. I guess Americans are more alive than other people

Mayeb because ebay is easier and you get better prices? although I do try the for sale/swap sections on several fishy forums before I revert to ebay. Too often people want something for a ridiculously low price when on ebay you can get a much more reasonable price!!.

I give the forums a chance first though

If I were in Europe I would trade with you

I think there are many different "families" in Europe each trading within itself. One should identify these families and create the Europe forum subforums. Ex...Germany, UK and provide same thing .de and .uk site will provide.

In my case itīs not a matter of low interest rather a matter of unstable weather.

I see no problem at all to exchange plants during spring or fall but under winter or summer the temperatures varies a lot between different locations in Europe. If you add 3-5 days in shipping to that issue...

If I trade I want the plants to arrive in good condition, not frozen and not overcooked.

+1

Many americans are not trading nowadays either. I'm in Ohio and stuck in a blizzard right now.
