Here's a photo. In my tank this plant has taken on a deep red, almost brown coloration. You can compare it with the R. macranda in the upper right.

The largest leaves are about 5 inches wide at their widest point and the tallest are breaking the surface of the 24" deep tank.

Wow! That's the most vigorous growth I've seen out of it yet. You must be dosing crazy amounts of micros and iron to get those colors.

I think it's the light, not the micros. I add just enough micros to keep R. 'Vietnam' wide and pink at the tips.

I've been using Tropica (whatever they call it now) 1ml/gallon/week plus Flourish Iron 0.5ml/gallon/week. This is what I've always done.

I'm all out at the moment, but I think Eriku (sp?) has some for sale too.

I have one of these Laganandras but I don't think I'm making it happy. Maybe you could tell me where I'm going wrong. It's continuously putting up new leaves, but losing old ones just as fast so it never has more than three leaves. I laid it on the substrate but did not bury the rhizome. It's in a 37 gallon tank with 3.5 watt/gal compact flourescent lighting. EI dosing and pressurized CO2. What am I doing wrong - HELP!!

I've had this happen before too. I think it's a lack of micronutrients. How much trace fertilizer are you using?

I've been dosing with Seachems Trace Elements 3 times a week as per manufacturers directions. Also, do you know if I can tie this rhizome to driftwood like an Anubias?
