Default Excel in marine Nano Cube?

Would there be any benefit in using Excel in my marine reef nanocube (6gal)? I don't have plants, but was wondering if it may be beneficial to the live rock, Ricordea and Mushrooms?

Thx

André

This probably is better fit for the SeaChem thread and has been moved there.

It is not intended for marine use as some corals can show a sensitivity to it. Your calcareous organisms (corals and coralline algae for example) can use other sources of carbon like carbonate alkalinity or the carbohydrate (gluconate) associated with calcium & strontium in our Reef Calcium and Reef Strontium supplements.
