Default Questions on dosing Flourish

I've got a 10G heavily planted tank with a 65W light that has been running for two months. I'm dosing with Flourish Excel and started adding N and K about two weeks ago. I do 50% water changes once a week. Most of my plants picked up with the added N, but my Val remains badly melted.

I just purchased some Flourish to add the trace minerals. My questions are:

1) Is it OK to dose the Flourish once a week during the water changes, or should I be adding small amounts throughout the week?

2) Should I use the recommended amount, or dose a little extra because of the demands of my tank.

3) Should I stop adding the extra K?

Questions #1 and 2 also apply to the Flourish Excel.

The dosing Flourish to the tank after a water change is
okay and it is okay to dose smaller amounts through the
week. You may benefit from using Flourish tabs also.
Plants uptake nutrient from the leaves and roots.
Flourish Tabs supply nutrients to the roots. The tabs
work well in addition to Flourish for the demands of
your tank inhabitants. Here is a link to Flourish tabs;
Flourish Tabs.
Flourish Potassium is very concentrated and for a 10g
tank the amount you are using along with Flourish Tabs the
plants will receive a supply of
potassium to the roots and leaves. But you could use more
especially if your tank demands are higher for potassium. Start with the recommended dose for Potassium and you can raise it as growth occurs.
Flourish and Flourish Excel can be dosed a couple of times a week.
Your Vals maybe sensitive to the Flourish Excel. Try
dosing less Flourish or every other day. The sensitivity
could be temporary and if so, the Vals should come back.
