It is fine to does Flourish Excel and other fertilizers. The bacterial filtration still does fine and so do the plants. Purigen does not remove trace minerals either.

Nice to see another Seachem product doing so well!

I look forward to the day when the Capital of NYS can have a Select Dealer and have one of those nice sales reps from warm Georgia come to our cool climate and have a Customer Seminar.

Question Re: Purigen!

Seachem: I am running a little experiment and really need to know the answer to the following as it could influence my experimental results. Does Purigen filter out Lignins and humic acids? Thanks.

So Purigen does not limit the natural development of bacterial colony sizes?

The bacteria should form just fine with the use of Purigen. Lignins may be too large of a compound for Purigen to impact. Humic Acids could be adsorbed by Purigen.
