Default Water changes?

Not to be lazy, but is it really necessary to do weekly water changes with using your flourish products?

Please don't judge me, hubby and I both work full-time and we have a 3 year old to chase after.

Obviously I will keep an eye on nitrates, I won't be using that product often since my tanks consistently stays at 10ppm, however I don't have a way to test phosphates, potassium, iron, etc.

Will these products build up over time? I usually do a water change once/month.

Should I decrease the dosages from week 1 to week 2, 3, etc.?
