Default Ca and Mg

*I was wondering* What ratio is Equilibrium as regard to Ca/Mg ratio?

Is it 4.1 Ca/Mg.

The ratio is about 3.3:1, Ca:Mg.

Ok that leads me to my next question. Is that enough Ca to the point that i don't have to add more to the tank? And at what hardness? Example 3 DGH
Also what source of Ca is in it?

The recommended dose of Equilibrium (1 tablespoon per 20 gallons) will raise GH by about 3º (about 54 ppm). If this is an adequate GH level for the plants you keep, then no more is needed. Keep in mind that soft water plants generally accept harder water while hard water plants generally do not fair well in soft water. Based on this, you may opt to keep a higher GH than 3º. The calcium in our Equilibrium is derived from calcium sulfate. If you wish to increase calcium levels, I have also known hobbyists to use our Reef Calcium (polygluconate calcium) with good results.

Unfortunately we do not offer a GH test kit....yet. Once we get settled into our new facility we will be able to focus more attention on things like this.
