Default DVAGA Meeting Oct 21th - Focus On Photography

Hey Everyone,

Just wanted to remind everyone that the next meeting is Oct 21st at my apt in Conshohocken. Please PM me or email for directions.

Here is what we have planned for this month.

October 21st at 1:00pm

The week of this meeting will be the last week in my apartment. This means a couple things.

1) My apt will be a mess HAHA
2) But more importantly, my tanks will be torn down and stored for a month or so till I move into my house. Before this happens I want to take some nice photos of the tanks.

For this months meeting we are going to focus on photography as it applies to aquariums. I am hardly an expert, but I have a lot of cool approaches I would like to share with you all. We will discuss shutter speeds, f/stop, and ISO. Please bring your cameras, so that you can apply the discussion to your own camera. Also, any input and knowledge from any of you would be great as well. THIS MEANS YOU JEFF!!

We will also discuss flashes and how to use them to create some interesting effects. This is an example of my last tank. I used one remote flash and some Tupperware lids to apply color.

Other things -

As always I will have cherry shrimp for a buck a piece

I will also have a ton of plants for sale.

• Bacopa caroliniana
• Ludwigia glandulosa
• Pogostemon helferi
• Pogostemon stellatus 'Broad Leaf'
• Riccia sp. 'Dwarf'
• Cryptocoryne crispatula var. balansae
• Rotala sp. Green

If anyone has things they want to bring or items for sale, feel free to bring them or email me and I will alert everyone.

I think this is going to be a great meeting. I think we can really focus on shooting a tank and really help get a good starting point in taking photos of your aquarium. I hope everyone can make it to see the end of my tanks and the last meeting in my apt

Hope to see everyone!

Shoot me back an email if you are coming so I can get a head count… Looking forward to seeing you all.

Thanks guys

jason
