I am lost on the buffer after regeneration. Wouldn't a soak in fresh water with a ample amount of prime added take care of this. If not how about after using the prime step simply soaking it in some water from the tank that the purigen is used in? Would that not buffer it?

I am curious because I just purchased two seachem's THE BAG and 500ml of purigen to try out. I will be trying this out in two tanks. One is an established 30gal and the other will be a newly setup 10gal with new ada aquasoil. Both running Eheims 2126 and 2213 respectively.

How much purigen does one usually add to a filter?

Thanks,
