Very nice tank Erik. You've proven that even people in the middle of a desert with nothing but rock-hard groundwater can make a successful go at a nice planted tank.

BTW, what is growing in the pico tank to the left of the "nano"?

About the HC leaf size - I've seen the best growth with ADA's substrates. I do have much more of it growing in Eco Complete though, and even that appears to be much larger than yours. It's probably stunting from lack of something..... light maybe? Despite that it seems to be filling in reasonably well.
