Default The Aquascaping Forum

Lately, there has been some discussion about the various forums and their roles at APC. Over time, many of us have strayed from the original intent of specific forums and to a more generalized use which makes searching and finding old posts difficult. With this in mind, I think it is time to remind everyone, myself included, just what the aquascaping forum is for.

The Aquascaping Forum is dedicated to learning about and furthering the art of aquascaping. All posts should be directly related to this. Please, post photos of your tanks, but only if you want help, critique or as a demonstration of the setup and progression of your planted aquarium (ie, Journals). ANY photo posted in the aquascaping forum will be subject to judgment and critique, for learning's sake. If you just want to show off your tank without comment or critique, please post in the General Plants Discussion Forum.

Please try to be an inspiration to others, even if beauty is in the eye of the beholder. We are all here to learn about making our aquariums beautiful and everything in the Aquascaping Forum should be about that.Try to take as good of photos as you can, but remember very few of us are good photographers. Just do the best you can. Equipment in the tank is fine, these don't have to be contest pics.

When responding to posts.....Please try to be as helpful and informative as possible. Please try to avoid one-liners. Its nice to hear your aquarium looks nice, but try to give a paragraph, 3-5 sentences, about WHY it looks nice. Remember, all tanks posted here are for critique, inspiration and to further the techniques and skills need to create beautiful aquascapes. Your opinions are important, sharing ideas and personal opinions are what allow us all to learn together. Having a strong Aquascaping Forum is one of the things that makes APC stand apart and with your help, we can make this the best place on the web!
