[Saturation]

This morning, as usual i noticed my male neon rainbows displaying for the females. Only this time i saw a male and female of the 9 that i have, actually snugged up in a pocket of java moss, swimming right next to one another. As if the male was rubbing his scales on the female, I figured this was how they actually mated once the males display was successful. However a few minutes after they left the pocket of java moss, 2 of my amano shrimp went berserk and started foraging in that exact spot in the java moss.

Did i just witness eggs being laid down and then eaten by the shrimp?
I could not see any eggs and still don't, and yet i can still see a shrimp with its head buried into that exact spot of java moss.

Anyone with experience breeding these fish, able to explain how these neon rainbows spawn/reproduce?

I was hoping to take some photos but was to busy peering into the java moss
