hi there i have a large golden apple snail who is known by doc snail lol dont ask me why, i was wondering if anyone has had a problem with apple snails eating their plants? he is the only snail in the tank as i took the pond snail out and put him into the fry tank so hes not the culprit. my java fern especially is looking a bit ragged and i think ol doc is the culprit. does anyone else think this is a possibility? im very fond of him and i love the wayi can watch him on the glass and the way he comes to the top of the tank to collect the flakes i feed the fish with. maybe i should move him into the fry tank aswell? its a 16litre but i wont be able to watch him as much as in the main tank.

If he isnt getting enough to eat he might eat the plants but only then. Blanch some broccoli some other nutritious veggie for him. Offer him an algae wafer now and then. I wouldn't think a java fern would be the first choice. Tough plant.
