I agree with Aaron, there's no way that a snail is going to suck the eggs of a shrimp's tail (watch next week someone will FIND a snail that specializes in this lol). However, if you disturb the shrimp and the eggs fall off, that is a possibility. The tiny newborn shrimp should also be quick enough to move out of the way as well.

Are you having issues finding baby shrimp after the females have been berried?
