Default Making love? or Making War?

I have a couple Assassin snails in my shrimp tank. I've only had them a couple weeks. I notice them piggy backing around a lot. Are they breeding or trying to eat each other?

Once I saw that behavior with mine. It wasn't long after that that I started to see eggs.

for snail that piggy backing = breeding. If it is war, it would be dead the next day.

So how long will it take before I see little babies? Do they lay eggs on the glass? And if so, should I refrain from scraping the glass? The tank is near a couple windows so I need to scrape the glass pretty often.

Ours laid eggs mainly on the plants in the tank. They're quite big, maybe a couple of millimeters, and white so they're easy enough to spot. Haven't worked out how long they take to hatch though but definitely around a week give or take a day or two.

I think it's breeding. However I did see a pond snail on a MTS before so it could be they're trying to eat what's on the shell
