Disclaimer: I don't qualify as a shrimper. But, I am using an all-in-one Eclipse 6 to raise my first batch of RCS. I've added a Fluval pre-filter sponge to the uptake (#A1387), fits perfectly, and the tiny shrimp can get away from the suction. (I found that the pump had too much trouble with panty hose restricting the flow.)

I like the size, it's easy to get into and out out, is very quiet, and it comes complete, except for heater. I got mine last year for about $35us from wallmart.

Drawbacks are that you'd have trouble hanging a breeding cup or anything else since the rim blocked by the hood.

I'd suggest 20longs. shrimp look for surface area and 20longs have the most.
