Dave, it sounds like you and I should talk about the status of this particular project. It sounds like you have an older version of the source code. This sucks, since it will be much harder to update it to current standards.

The math behind the nutrient content of the various chemicals is pretty straightforward, but there are plenty of places where it's easy to make an error. If you'll send me a PM, hopefully we'll be able to figure out a way we can work back & forth on this.

These are two different chemicals, both of which are suitable for use. KH2PO4 is more commonly used in the hobby, but both can be obtained fairly easily.

KH2PO4= Potassium sulfate monobasic
K2HPO4 = potassium sulfate dibasic

Are you sure?

Wouldn't PO4 be phosphate?

Not sure if this is the correct thread, but may I suggest two computations for the Fertilator?

Boron in Borax ( Na2B4O7·10H2O ): 21.5 % by weight
and
Boron in Boric Acid ( H3BO3 ): 17.5 % by weight

It seems that more people use Boric Acid as a Boron source than Borax. I assume this is due to the Sodium content in Borax. Is this correct?

I sure hope someone can get the bugs worked out of the Fertilator. For entance when I put in a figure into the Kh2P04 it goes blank so I am not sure if the total figures are correct.

Thanks

I thought someone was working on fixing the Fertilator? It has been this way for over a year I know.

An update...... The source code for the current beta version of the program is apparently lost. We have an older version but it's hopelessly out of date compared to the Fertilator in its current form.

The Fertilator pre-dates my involvement here at APC. I'll keep asking the admins what other options we have.

The Fertilator was recently upgraded and is now up and running. If anyone notices additional bugs, please note them in the thread that was recently started.
