Anyone know a good place in south florida to get co2 and refills at? Also, what is a decent price for a 5lb cannister. Just started to look, and figured I'd see if anyone knew [if anyone reads this section anymore].

Thanks

Jeff

I have no idea, Jeff. My guess is that Exotic Aquariums over on bird would sell cannisters, but I'm not sure. It would be good to know. Eventually, I'll be in a position to upgrade to pressurized and it would be good to know.

Hope somebody can help you,

llj

Look for welding supply houses. I had mine filled at a place off SR84 in Ft Lauderdale. I had to wait a week or so, because they had to batch it with some other fills. $15.00 for a 10lb cannister.

I personally haven't gone here yet, but I know that City Fire Inc. (City Fire Equipment and Services - Fire Equipment and Supplies - Fort Lauderdale, FL) has CO2 tanks and refills. They're located at 5708 SW 25th Street in Hollywood 33023. I'm actually going to call tomorrow to see the price of a tank + CO2 refills, so I'll keep you posted.

ask for Rick, make sure your hydro is within 5 yrs, expect $12.50 for a 10lbs refill, hours are 8-5 and they fill while you wait.
