Default Combining a Fish Order

You guys dont ever get together and go to a wholesaler and get what you guys want? the wholesalers have minimums but you get to handpick your fish most times and they are in LA so not a long term shipping?

I was just curious if you guys only ordered from retailers or ever tried a wholesaler.

Where are these wholesalers? And what are the minimums?

I would be very interested if it were possible.

Do you have a particular wholesaler in mind? I don't need any livestock ATM but I do need some other supples (prime, filter pads, etc). If they carry that type of stuff I'll get in on the buy.

There are a bunch of them in LA. I set up an account with a couple saltwater suppliers but I no longer have saltwater tanks or sell fish.

On average 150 to 250 dollar min depending on the wholesaler. You have to have a couple pieces of paperwork generally, some dont care as long as you have money lol.

One that I was interested in is Southland Aquatics in Inglewood. I called them and asked their minumum but I didnt ask if they needed to see my paperwork. Some want a picture of your storefront (which I never had). I assume that those are the ones that sell online also and dont want the competition retail level.

Me too, I talked to one of the guys there that spoke better Spanish than I do so it was a little difficult to understand them but they are open from sounded like 5 am but was probably 9 am to 5. And Friday close at 3 or 4. No weekends so Id have to take a day off but I dont mind heehee. The 250 dollar minimum is steep for me because I dont resell fish anymore. I can get the fishlist (it changes a lot though) and see what they have and get the paperwork arranged to be able to get in. The only thing is California Sales and Use Laws. It depends.
