Default Scape!

Personally, it is not quite clear what specific goals SCAPE has, from "members" or otherwise. I was wondering what you all think?

I would think it might be a good idea to generate some ideas in order to ensure SCAPE's success. I was thinking of maybe making a website to "formalize" ideas and also alert the general public, outside of the few plant forums, of SCAPE's existence. Also, some kind of scheduled gathering, if not personal, maybe in chat?..., should keep interests peaked.

Just a few ideas... If anyone has any other's I'd be glad to help out in any way I can.

Scott,
Sounds good. Volunteering? J/K.

I know Tony has some webmastering skills, but if we only want something basic, I could just as easily put something together (I might not even use Frontpage ).

Our purpose?
Hmmm...maybe something to start with (Just getting the creative juices flowing):

SCAPE is an informal group of aquascaping enthusiasts intent on encouraging planted aquariums and paludariums in the Southern California area to include Los Angeles, Orange, San Bernardino, Riverside and San Diego counties. Our goal is to share ideas, flora, and fauna with the express purpose of helping new and old hobbiests with both basic and advanced skills.

Meetings are currently held online (www.aquaticplantcentral.com forums and chat), with scheduled meetings to coincide with existing group events such as COAST and San Diego Tropical Fish Society meetings.

Scott...
I also played with your graphic. Hope you don't mind.

Let's see if it works (Doesn't do the animation in preview?). I also made it clickable...

Yep.. I am I can't make the ultra high-tech flash sites....yet...but I can make some basic sites, which is all we need really. The graphics are where I'm not quite up to par (hint)

The banner looks good turbomkt. I was hoping to put something like www.scape.org. (taken, i know) since you have to have a password to get in here, but maybe a (cough) moderator (cough) can fix that.
