Just a reminder- there's pretty reasonable pricing right now on AQUA SOIL at www.aquariumdesigngroup.com . click on the ADA logo or ShopADG link at the top to check it out. Not trying to be a salesman- just want to make sure folks know there's new stuff available. There's some added info. on ADA Substrate system that may answer some of the lingering questions also, with more info. still to come (good chart for how much to use in different sized tanks, etc.)

This Japanese Kool-Aid is DELICIOUS!

(just kidding... - couldn't resist when I saw that emoticon!)

1 x 2 litre bag seems to suit for Aquasoil. The general guidelines, copied from ADG, are below:
====================================
AQUARIUM SIZE POWER SAND AQUA SOIL
ADA 60cm (24inX12in) U.S.20gal. 1- 2 liter bag S (small granule) 1- 9 liter bag
ADA 90cm (36inX18in) U.S.58gal. 3- 2 liter bags M (med. granule) 3- 9 liter bags
ADA 120cm (48inX18in) U.S.75gal. 4- 2 liter bags M (med. granule) 4- 9 liter bags
ADA 180cm (72inX24in) U.S.180gal. 9- 2 liter bags L (large granule) 9- 9 liter bags
*note that a 9-liter bag is approximately 18 lbs.

Andrew, just wanted to make sure that it's extra clear-

20 gallon tank: 1- 2 liter bag POWER SAND and 1- 9 liter bag AQUA SOIL
The two products really need to be used together to fully maximize the benefits of the system. AQUA SOIL was not designed to be used by itself.

Total cost to do a 20 gallon tank using the POWER SAND "SPECIAL" which saves you the additional purchase of CLEAR SUPER and BACTER 100:
1- 2 liter POWER SAND SPECIAL "S" (small granule)- $19
1- 9 liter AQUA SOIL- $22
TOTAL: $41.00 + shipping from Houston,TX 77027 to your address.
You may estimate shipping by doing a mock order (just don't complete checkout if you're not ready) at www.aquariumdesigngroup.com , click on ADA logo or ShopADG link.
