This often occurs during shipping when the plant is jostled about in a bag and kept in the dark too long. It is mostly due to a lack of light, but made worse by mechanical damage.
These look like newly transplanted plants. The symptoms look like shock due to injury and poor conditions while being stored and shipped. See the nutrition forum for proper nutrition while they recover.
