Default Boiled and boiled and the driftwood still floats...

I found a piece of driftwood on a trip I made to a state park here in Florida... it was under an Australian Pine, so I assumed that is what it is.

I have boiled it for some hours now... 10-15 hrs and got it to sink... then I took it out of the tank and sat it on the sun... I heard that getting it wet and then letting the sun dry it was good.... now after being dried by the sun it floats again....

I notice the driftwood is bubbling, as if it was "sucking" water... is this a sign that I should not be using this piece of wood on my tank?

Here is a pic of the driftwood when sinking:

Don't get it. If you got it to sink - why dry it out?

I gues I did not understand the principle... I thought boiling it would make the wood more dense rather than just fill it with water that would evaporate.

I had to take it out of the tank to change my substrate... I gues I'll start the boiling again...

you can leave floating, in one or two days will be upon the substrate. also you can boild it again and put it in the aquarium

it is pine wood? the resinous wood are not very good for the aquarium.
