IMHO is not true. Java grow very good with CO2 in medium and high light but in high light there could be some problems with algae
. Most importand is keep moss clean and trim from time to time.
Java moss 0.37W/l, 30-40ppm CO2, ferts
X-mass moss 0.4W/l, no CO2, almost no ferts
Erect moss 0.67W/l, 20ppm CO2, ferts
Taiwan moss 0.75W/l, 25ppm CO2, ferts
Willow moss 0.37W/l, no CO2, no ferts
